Easy Congee

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice/cooked white rice
  • 5 to 6 cups water
  • 1-2 teaspoon salt or until desired taste
  • Optional Seasoning: ginger powder, onion powder and a little bit of garlic powder
  • Optional topping: 2 soft boiled eggs, green onions or 1/4 cup pork floss



Directions:


1.) Pour water into a pot and bring it to a boil.

2.) Add the rice and cook for 30 minutes or until it thickens, stirring occasionally.

If cooked rice, cook for 10 minutes until desired texture.

3.) Stir in the salt and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Optional: Add ginger powder, onion powder, parsley, and a little bit of garlic powder.

4.) Transfer to a serving bowl with 
two soft boiled eggs, sprinkle some green onions or top with a tablespoon of pork floss.

Serve hot and enjoy!
