Popcorn from scratch
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt
Directions:
1.) In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, combine oil and 2 popcorn kernels. Cover and wait for them to pop..
2.) Once popped, turn off the heat, add remaining kernels, cover, and let rest for 60 seconds.
3.) Return pot to medium heat, shimmy occasionally, and tip the lid slightly to release steam once popping starts.
4.) Cook until popping slows to about one pop every few seconds.
